About Us

Our Background

In November 1999, the South Bank Business Association (SBBA) was incorporated in Brisbane in response to  the Precinct business leaders recognising the  need for a common voice.

Close to the city centre, the Association operates in the South Bank, South Brisbane, West End and Woolloongabba areas to promote the best interests of the South Bank Precinct and the members of the Association.

Association members operate attractions, exhibitions, entertainment, shopping, eating, drinking and dining facilities, commercial and residential accommodation, cultural and educational facilities, community facilities and businesses.

Our Future

The South Bank Business Association is committed to playing a key role in planning the Precinct's future direction.

The Association seeks to build relationships and represent the interests of its members with State and local Government, planning authorities, other membership bodies and tourism groups.

The Association’s major initiatives are:

  • To be ‘the voice’ of the South Bank Precinct
  • Provide member communication and networking opportunities
  • Develop branding and marketing
